Bosnia came very close to upsetting France at home and qualifying for the cup outright; as it is, they are in the play-offs. Not as a seeded team, but while the seeded teams all certainly present real challenges, none of them are teams Bosnia should be intimidated by (I think that Portugal are a shadow of their former self right now, despite still having some great individual talent, including Cristiano Ronaldo, obviously).
Seedings confirmed for EURO play-off draw
The draw will be later today; I will update this post once I see the results.
UPDATE: Bosnia will play Portugal in the two-leg playoffs, to be played in November.

Kirk, Bosnia was only 12 minutes away to make a history. There was no penalty man, I am telling, it's all set up. They knew the only way they could beat BiH is with "imaginary" penalty shot. Shame on them. When you mix politics into sport, you really get your stomach turned upside down http://www.oslobodjenje.ba/index.php?id=20193

Playing tonight. Edin Dzeko's on form, so hopefully prospects are good.
Well, shoot--they're still in it, but it would have been nice to nick a goal and take a lead to Portugal for the away leg. Still, their fate is in their own hands, and that is nothing to sneeze at. Wish I'd seen the game--I chose to be patriotic and watch the US versus France friendly; which turned out to largely be a waste of two hours. Ugh.
And so it comes to an end; Portugal poured it on and won 6-2 at home in the second leg. I really feel for Bosnia; to come so close yet again is heartbreaking.
Next time - as long as Bosnia's still around.
Kirk, I wish you and your family Merry Christmas and happy new year.
For you and your family I wish nothing but the best.
Enjoy holidays !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Daniel, and same to you! I plan to start blogging regularly again after the holidays are over.
