Serbia Arrests Ratko Mladic

I was getting ready to post another story, when I saw that this news story had broke:

Ratko Mladic arrested in Serbia, president says

Not much to say, we'll see how it goes from here, but this is undoubtably great news.

Great news, but far, far too late.

Agreed. I assume that all along, the Serbian government has been making political calculations, and have finally decided that the domestic cost of turning him in is less than the international cost of continuing to look the other way.

I am glad he was arrested. Yes it was a way too long time coming.

Mladic's arrest is a strong blow against impunity. May he have a long and healthy life, so he can spend the rest of his life in jail and die as a genocide convict.
